Below I have attached an exciting opportunity for medical students interested in presenting their projects to a wider audience at the Annual AAMC National Meeting, held Friday, November 2, 2012 in San Francisco. If you plan on submitting for presentation at the meeting, please let us know at: [email protected]. Please be aware that it is the student's responsibility to secure funding for travel, lodging, and registration fees for the meeting.
Hello OSR!
We are now accepting submissions for the annual OSR Student Programming Showcase! The attached application form is due September 3, 2012.
The showcase will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 3:30 - 5pm during the AAMC-OSR Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA. The showcase is an opportunity for medical students in the OSR to present innovative and exciting curricula, electives, mentoring programs, extracurricular organizations, and any other programs that are active at their home institution. To see examples of previous presentations, please visit https://www.aamc.org/members/osr/mededresources.
The OSR Student Programming Showcase gives five students the opportunity to use PowerPoint to present their programs. Presenters (one presenter per program) may show a maximum of 5 PowerPoint slides and will have 5-8 minutes to speak. Applications will be reviewed by the OSR Ad Board and five students will be selected to present during the showcase.
Showcase presenters do not have to be OSR reps, but must pay a registration fee (one day if only attending on Friday for the session and full student registration if attending the full meeting or additional meeting days). Registration fees for presenters are unable to be waived.
All students interested in participating in the OSR Student Programming Showcase should submit the attached application form by September 3, 2012. Please save the file as "'year' 'school name' 'program name' 'your last name'.doc" and email the completed application to Meghan Crawley, National Delegate for Medical Education, at [email protected]
